God of War: Ascension is a prequel to the popular saga of action hack and slash exclusive PlayStation, GoW. Launched exclusively for PS3, chronologically located at the beginning of the series, just six months after Kratos killed his wife and daughter. Throughout his campaign, we discover the origins of the Spartan soldier who sells his soul to Ares, god of war, and wields the swords of Chaos to deal with Olympus.
For the first time in the series, the title God of War: Ascension includes a multiplayer mode for eight players divided into teams of four. Although the protagonist is not eligible for this mode, it is possible to customize the equipment of warriors and swear allegiance to other gods that give different styles of play. It also has a sort of horde mode for one player.
